What the people who have already stayed here say
The Hotel Vulcano is a four-star hotel in Playa de las Américas, among gardens and pools, with a spa and the UP! terrace and its infinity pool on the top floor. What it is like to stay here is not for us to tell: the guests who have been here tell it.

The pools are really lovely. Loads of loungers and great bar by the swimming pool area. Our room was recently refurbished, AC was good. We were half board the breakfast is very good, loads of selection and it goes on until 12pm. The only negatives I’d say about our stay is that you have to pay extra for your tea/coffee in the room to be restocked daily and you have to pay a daily fee to use the safe in your room. And the WIFI is terrible.
+9Posted on GoogleColin _22 days agoGreat location, easy access to the Golden Mile and surrounding area. The lobby, reception area, is huge, three stories tall and very long, it’s very impressive as soon as you walk in. The room was a very good size, nice balcony looking over a pedestrian walk way to some bars and restaurants and the Golden Mile. The shower was very powerful and adjustable. The maid did an excellent job everyday. The restaurant for breakfast is the highlight, it is one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. The pool area was great, everyday we watched as it was cleaned. Don’t get up in the middle of the night for a sun-bed, there is absolutely no need. We never had any trouble getting a sun-bed, There is no problem with cockroaches or other insects. We never see one in eight days. The hotel is very clean. Check out is twelve. If you have a late flight there are courtesy showers available. You have to book them and can only have them for thirty minutes. You have a small room to yourself with shower, sink, shower gel, towels and hairdryer.+12Posted on GoogleEvelyn Tan24 days agoGreat place!! We will come back again!Posted on GoogleAnna Hoy49 days agoWe came for my 21st birthday with another couple. When we arrived my room was decorated with balloons and it was lovely and we got a room beside our friends. Breakfast was fantastic and the balance terrace is definitely worth it if you like to chill around. Staff were kind and helpful. We would definitely come back ☺️Posted on GoogleDanielle Wilkinson87 days agoFantastic hotel, best breakfast we’ve ever had with so many options. No need to wake up early to reserve sun beds! Staff are super friendly and helpful. Great pool options with a spa pool too! Can’t wait to book for next year!Posted on GoogleAndrew Daly92 days agoMy partner and I stayed at Hotel Vulcano for 10 days in a Premium Pool View room. Overall, we had a lovely holiday and enjoyed our stay, but there were a few things that could definitely be improved. The positives first: the hotel is beautiful, especially the lobby and pool area at night, and the location is perfect – close to everything in Playa de las Américas. We appreciated that our request for a high-floor room was honoured, the air conditioning was excellent, housekeeping did a fantastic job every day, and the staff were always friendly. The breakfast was genuinely the highlight of our stay. The variety was incredible, it was served until 12pm, and we honestly wouldn’t change a thing about it. The taxi service from reception was also excellent, and we never struggled to get a sunbed. Unfortunately, there were some disappointing aspects. The main pool has a lot of loose and missing tiles, and my partner cut their toenail on a sharp exposed edge, so this really needs attention. Many of the sunbeds were ripped, and the lifts were slow and unreliable. The atmosphere around the pool was also very quiet. Apart from occasional bingo and a DJ who disappeared shortly after breakfast, there was no music or entertainment during the day. While many guests want to relax, the hotel relied almost entirely on the guests themselves to create an atmosphere. Although the breakfast was excellent, the bar food wasn’t. The pizzas were very chewy and rubbery. We also found the cocktails disappointing, with far too much ice and very little alcohol considering the price and the hotel’s four-star rating. One evening we bought instant noodles from a nearby shop and simply asked for two forks. The bar sent us to reception, but reception refused because “the kitchen was closed,” even after we offered to wash them ourselves. It seemed like a very unnecessary refusal. The bathroom only provided shampoo and conditioner, with no shower gel. Our biggest disappointment was the Premium Pool View package. We only discovered on our last day that the infinity pool area included complimentary beer, water and juices. Nobody mentioned this at check-in or during our stay, so we spent money buying drinks we didn’t need to. Better communication would have made a big difference. Finally, we were asked to leave a Google review at checkout, and a member of staff selected five stars on our phone before handing it back for us to submit. We didn’t post it because we wanted to leave our own honest review. Overall, we genuinely enjoyed our holiday. The hotel is beautiful, the location is fantastic, and the breakfast is one of the best we’ve had. With better maintenance, clearer communication and a bit more atmosphere around the pool, this hotel could easily be a five-star experience.Posted on GoogleGareth Walsh105 days agoVery clean rooms. We had the up terrace which was very quiet and peaceful with a large selection of drinksPosted on BookingViktor91ru116 days agoA pleasant stay overall, with simple rooms but an excellent breakfast. ☺The rooms are quite ordinary, nothing special. But the breakfast! The breakfast is absolutely amazing! There’s a huge selection, so many options, and they even have cava. The breakfast was definitely the highlight of our stay. ☹Perhaps the value for money could be better. It felt a bit overpriced, especially for April.+3Posted on GoogleRoman Čamaj123 days agoPosted on BookingÁstrós137 days agoVery nice hotel, 100% recommend ☺The lobby, the pool area, the wristbands we got, the breakfast was amazing! Staff were so nice and helpful And it was a 3 min walk to hardrock cafe. ☹Beds were a bit springy and would have preferred a whole 180 mattress, but each to their own I guessPosted on GoogleCarles Leon140 days agoPosted on BookingHannah144 days agoOverall 10/10 no complaints. Room was gorgeous we were on ground floor so had a lovely big balcony with deck chairs ☺Super clean, calm , room was spacious, large bathroom, lovely sun beds on our balcony. The pools were very calm and relaxing energy, they had 3 different pools that you got included in your stay but two other pools for an extra charge. Water stations around the location to fill up bottles ect ☹Little bit more atmosphere, but was exactly what we wanted as we wanted a relaxing chill holiday stayPosted on GoogleAnnabel Burrell145 days agoReturning in October, fab hotel, rooms were clean and maid service good, breakfast was excellent with a large choice available. My only criticism would be that reception was extremely busy at times so could have done with more staff at these points for new arrivals and departures. Also the food available on the UP terrace could have more simple options avail+8Posted on GoogleGrace150 days agoStayed here for 5 nights in May for our ‘baby moon’. Great and clean hotel and room, staff were also brilliant. We upgraded to the UP terrace for two of the hottest days of our stay and it was beautiful - great loungers / views / pools / drinks and snacks. Excellent location only 7 ish mins walk to the golden mile with loads of restaurant/bars etc if you want a bit of atmosphere. Also, only 30ish mins from the airport. Would definitely return!Posted on GoogleRhonda Morrison157 days ago5★ – Hotel Vulcano exclusive UP experience with private rooftop, Adult only sun terrace by day with amazing views, endless pool, jacuzzi, all inclusive service followed by outstanding tasting menu at private dining 6 course meal by night. Loved every course of the “Eat & Fit” menu! The pumpkin cream soup with crispy shrimp was rich and comforting, the mini salad with goats cheese, guava and candied walnuts was fresh and vibrant, (my favourite) and the spiced cod with colourful salsa and saffron sauce was cooked to perfection. Followed by palate cleansing mango sorbet, then Beef ravioli and canary mash was succulent and creamy. Finally sweet and fruity the pistachio ingot with crumble base was beautiful. All absolutely delicious. Everything arrived on stunning plates, portions were generous, and it’s brilliant they use MSC-certified sustainable seafood. Warm service and elegant setting made it special. Highly recommended — can’t wait until we go back! Special mention for the best staff, for such polite, attentive service from our waiter Pedro serving such an amazing meal from top Chef Louis, supported by Manager Sebastian.+2Posted on GoogleOlaya Daza163 days agoPosted on GoogleColin Crawford180 days agoThe high point of our stay would have been the Beautiful accommodation location and the high level of service. We had THEE most perfect room given to us. Room 362 for referance. May I add we didn't pay for pool view room despite being given one WIN WIN! We booked bed and breakfast so only tried the food in the mornings which was lovely. Highly recommend the waffles with chocolate from the chocolate fountain poured over it, also mini sausages they were my go to EVERYDAY lol. Restaurant also had a DJ there which I thought was pretty cool. Location is perfect as it has supermarket, beach, bus stop, pharmacy, pubs/clubs including Veronica's strip, restaurants etc all within walking distance. We also walked to both Los Christianos beach which took us 40min walk and Costa Adeje 30min walk along the beachfront. Definitely recommend staying at this hotel.Posted on GoogleMaciek Rawski228 days agoWe had a fantastic time in this hotel.Posted on GoogleKristina Ye232 days agoI would like to leave a review about Hotel Vulcano in Tenerife. We really enjoyed our stay! The rooms are stylish, modern, and have a youthful design — everything feels fresh and cozy. It’s very приятно to come back to such a comfortable room after a day out. The food is excellent — delicious, varied, and high quality. Every day there is something new to choose from, and everything is prepared with care. The hotel is located in a very convenient area, not far from the ocean. There are many things around: local markets, shops, restaurants, and cafés. Everything is within walking distance, which makes the stay especially comfortable. The atmosphere in the hotel is pleasant and relaxing, while at the same time you can feel the lively resort vibe around. It’s a great option for couples as well as for groups of friends. If we come back to Tenerife, we would gladly stay here again. Highly recommended!🕺🌴🇮🇨🫶Posted on GoogleTurner Robinson241 days agoFabulous views 🤩🤩 from room 662 Lovely staff and very clean 👌Posted on GoogleAnnabelle Richards246 days agoWe had an end room with the most beautiful balcony, sun loungers and sea view.Posted on GoogleMichael McCann248 days agoWe had a fantastic stay at Hotel Vulcano in Playa de las Américas. The hotel is kept extremely clean, has great facilities, and is in a terrific location — close to everything but still calm and comfortable inside. The staff really stand out: friendly, approachable, and always willing to go the extra mile. Would happily recommend it to anyone staying in the area.Posted on Googlesteve Head249 days agoFirst time to this hotel and would highly recommend, staff are genuinely lovely, rooms suit the purpose and have all you need, very clean and well stocked. We were lucky enough to enjoy the UP facilities and again very pleased with it. Having some experience in the hospitality trade, these guys have got it right in my opinion. Will definitely be coming back and will have no problems bringing friends with me.
